National noodle bar chain Chopstix is set to open in Ipswich soon as set-up work is underway at the Sailmakers shopping centre.
The fast food restaurant first submitted plans in May to fill a vacant unit in the shopping centre, with work having now been underway to transform the ground floor unit into the restaurant.
It is set to bring around 15 jobs into the area.
Menashe Sadik, co-founder of Chopstix, said: “Having received great public interest since our site openings in Norwich, we are excited by further expansion into the Suffolk region.
“The Ipswich site is very similar to our recently refurbished site in Aberdeen and we will be using inspiration from that design.
“Chopstix is excited to bring its concept into Ipswich and will be looking forward to offering local job opportunities within the community.”
A firm opening date is yet to be set, but is likely to open by the end of October.
