SOUTH Korea's players will today bid farewell to the World Cup – but here's a unique chance to remember THE surprise package of the tournament.
A special autographed football from South Korea is being auctioned in order to raise money for the Ipswich branch of the British Korean War Veterans Association.
The ball came to the association through Felixstowe International College where Korean pupils have been cheering on their team for the last three weeks from the school common room.
The ball, which was purchased in Korea, was given to the association to auction if they wished – and it would make an excellent souvenir of an incredible World Cup.
It has printed signatures and colour pictures of the entire Korean squad, who tonight they face Turkey in the third/fourth place play-off.
South Korea defeated four European teams - Poland, Portgual, Spain and Italy on their way to narrowly loosing to Germany.
n Bids for the Korean football are invited by phoning Mr B Jay on (01473) 464577
