Vulnerable elderly residents and people living with dementia will now be included in a wristband scheme aiming to keep children and adults safe.
Ipswich Central relaunched their Child Safe scheme this morning under the new name Keeping Together to incorporate anyone who could be considered vulnerable.
Wristbands with contact details of who should be told when they are lost are available from a number of businesses across the town centre.
An Ipswich Central spokesman said: “They (the wristbands) will still be in the same popular branding, instantly recognisable but we feel it is important to include anybody who may be vulnerable.
“We are working with the Co-op who are a Dementia Friendly retailer and who will be stocking the wristbands, alongside those businesses who already have them.”
