A YACHT was towed to safety by the coastguard after it got stranded in Harwich harbour.
Felixstowe coastguard patrol craft Volunteer helped the stranded yacht Baptist, which had three people on board, when the drama unfolded at about 4.20pm yesterday.
The coastguard anchored the yacht until it refloated on the flood tide. The Volunteer then towed Baptist to Woolverstone marina in the river Orwell.
