A man was approached by two men and stabbed in the bicep in the early hours in Ipswich.
The 19-year-old was attacked near Pin Mill Close around 12.15am on Monday.
The victim reported being approached by two males on a grassed area between houses, and that one of the two then stabbed him in the arm.
He sustained a wound that was glued closed at hospital.
The two males are described as white and both were wearing dark hooded tops with the hoods up.
One was around 5ft 9ins tall, of stocky build while the other was about 6ft tall and of medium build.
A Suffolk police spokesman said officers were investigating possible motives for the stabbing and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
