YOUNG carol singers took to the streets of Hadleigh to entertain and bring festive cheer to the town.

Children from Beaumont Primary School in Durrant Road performed outside the school for teachers, parents and governors.

Stella Burton, the school's headteacher, said: “It was so cold but we wanted it to be traditional and outside so we gathered round the Christmas tree.

“They children sung carols like Once in Royal David City, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Jingle Bells.

“We were told that people in the neighborhood could hear them and came out of their homes to join in.”
