SCORES of excited Ipswich youngsters queued for hours today to get their hands on tickets to see X-Factor finalists JLS.

Teenage fans waited outside the Regent Theatre in sleeping bags this morning after the boyband announced they would be visiting Ipswich on their first headline tour.

JLS, who are currently at number one in the charts, will perform at the St Helen's Street theatre on February 1, 2010.

Tickets for the gig were due to go on sale today at 10am.

Last week the band's debut single Beat Again sold more than 100,000 copies to take the title of biggest-selling first week for a debut single this year.

Beth Welton, 15, from Ipswich, queued overnight with friends Tia Ransome, 9, Lauren Hall, 15, and Megan Lyth, 9. Beth said: “We queued overnight because we want to be as close to JLS as we can. We like everything about them.”

Tia's mum Katrina Ransome added: “We got here early under the shelter and out of the rain. Hopefully we will be as close to the front as possible.”
