THE Evening Star has today been recognised as the best paper in the country - for the second consecutive year.
We won the title of daily newspaper of the year in the under 40,000 circulation category at this afternoon's Press Gazette Regional Press Awards.
Judges in particular singled out our 32-page special supplement on the conviction of serial killer Steve Wright and described us as a “ballsy paper from front to back”.
