WHITTON UNITED 0 NEEDHAM MARKET 6
BEFORE this local derby a minute's silence was observed in memory of Bobby Nunn who was associated with Whitton United and who had played against Needham Market many times in his career. Needham Market took control of this game once James Leech had given them the lead with a well executed and precise shot midway through the first half. Before the break Marc Wake had doubled the visitors lead. Soon after the restart Robbie Hill of Needham was dismissed for his second book able offence, both offences being for back chat to the Referee. The ten men then scored further goals from Adam Rickwood, Marc Wake, and substitutes Ashleigh Hawes and David Pitt. For the home team only Daniel Eaton and Andy Callaghan played anywhere near there best and in the end Needham Market were overwhelmingly the better side as the score line suggested.
