Seven-time British champion and former Ipswich Witch, Scott Nicholls, won't be riding in the Premiership in 2023.

The ex-Grand Prix star who won the treble with the Witches in 1998, twice won the League with Coventry Bees and once with Peterborough Panthers, is still a hugely popular figure in the sport, told of his plans in a tweet to fans.

Last season Nicholls rode for Peterborough and has always been a fixture in Britain's top league.

However, he will still be racing in England, for Oxford in the Championship, as he did in 2022, where he will link up with Cameron Heeps, another former Witch who is back again at Cowley with the Cheetahs.
