Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna says key attacking duo Wes Burns and Nathan Broadhead could both return to action in tomorrow's Championship home clash with Swansea City.
Burns has sat out the last five games with a shoulder injury sustained on international duty with Wales, while Broadhead was unavailable for Tuesday night's 2-2 draw at Rotherham due to sickness.
“We still have a little bit of sickness knocking about in the camp, but Nathan Broadhead trained today, so that was positive,” said McKenna, speaking at this afternoon's pre-match press conference.
“Axel (Tuanzebe) came through the game in midweek fine, while Wes is now training with the group, so that’s a positive. We’re going into the weekend in a pretty good place.”
Asked whether Burns, who grew up a Cardiff fan, could feature against the Swans, McKenna replied: “It’s not impossible. He’s come through all fine, has recovered well and he’s available for some minutes tomorrow, as it stands.”
Lee Evans (knee) is Town's only long-term injury.
