Ipswich Town's loan move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja is expected to fall through, the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star understands.
The Blues had agreed a loan move with a £30 million obligation to buy the Albanian international should they avoid relegation. He travelled to Suffolk before Saturday's 4-1 defeat to Manchester City, but it's believed that an issue with his medical saw the deal stall at the last minute.
Manager Kieran McKenna had stressed that negotiations continued with Chelsea earlier in the week, but it's now understood that Ipswich will walk away from the deal.
Town have been exploring alternatives in the last few days, with Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Édouard among those linked. The Eagles would reportedly let him leave on loan if an obligation to buy him for £20 million is included.
West Brom's Tom Fellows is another name who's been linked with a move to Suffolk, with reports that the Baggies have knocked back two bids from Ipswich so far. However, we understand that this is wide of the mark. The young attacker is not a target for McKenna's side, who have not reached out about signing him this summer.
