FIFTEEN minutes into the second half the game was settled as a rampant Melton side who for long periods had dominated proceedings eventually found the back of the net.

The visitors showed their hosts some fine skills in the first half but were unable to break down the last part to realise the goal their deserved.

Stokes and Bixby were notable on their efforts down the flanks to send Achilles in but the service they provided was countered by resilience of the home side's defence.

However, come the second half Randall who had been a menace to the home sides defence received a penalty which he duly converted, Bixby outsmarted the stricken keeper and Cook stamped his authority on the game with an unstoppable shot to give the home side a mountain to climb.

Easing off the pressure the home side failed to take advantage and with Melton coasting a fourth goal was inevitable as Goldsmith picked out Lockwood who headed past the keeper to satisfy the Melton followers with a well deserved victory.
