SUFFOLK number one Bradley Ball flew back from the USA with a handsome trophy and a very useful cheque after winning the Atlanta Squash Open in Georgia last weekend.

It was Ball's third PSA event win of the year and looks likely to push him several places up the world rankings.

Ball is currently number 51 in the world, and number 13 in England and winning in the $5,000 event at Atlanta has brought a welcome boost to his points average.

"Winning more points is the main thing for me. My next target is to get up into the world top 40.

"The higher your ranking the easier it is to get big tournaments like the Hong Kong Open. With a higher ranking at least you have a good position or seeding in qualifying for the top events.

"Also this year I aim to break into the top ten in England, something which I think is a realistic target based on my recent results.

"This has been a good year so far for me. I hope it continues."
