Barnard: We've been waiting for test

INDOOR CRIKET: Medite Ipswich take to the road on Saturday to face reigning National League champions Stumps of Aston Villa.

Stumps will be very tough opposition for an in-form Medite side who have now won four of their last five games.

Medite Ipswich take to the road on Saturday to face reigning National League champions Stumps of Aston Villa.

Stumps will be very tough opposition for an in-form Medite side who have now won four of their last five games.

Medite Ipswich manager Brian Barnard admits his squad have been looking forward to this test.

"We have been waiting for this fixture to put the British Open final behind us and show Stumps that they will need to be in good form to win," he said.

Meanwhile, the Ipswich B team will be looking to preserve their 100 per cent record.

Teams (from): Driver, Saggers, Edmond, Barker, Barnard, Bartrum, Bell, Bloomfield, Chittock, Connell, Maskell, Norton, R Ongers, S Ongers, Pitman, Richardson, Schofield, Mark Smith, Martin Smith.

The Masters will be looking to return to winnings ways against a strong Stumps side which may include Graham Hick, Damien D'Olivera and Richard Illingworth.

Masters (from): Storey, Bulger, Fielding, Henson, Mellish, Miller, Parmenter, Pearson, Taylor.

Both of the ladies sides are also in action and will be looking to secure some much-needed points against a new and inexperienced Stumps Ladies side.

Vixens (from): Elsom, Bulger, Lennard, Mellish, D Morris, G Morris, Taylor, Westley.
