IPSWICH Town's re-arranged UEFA Cup home clash with Torpedo Moscow, now taking place next Thursday – September 20 – will be broadcast live by BBC Television in a Match of the Day programme.

The BBC had previously intended to show the game live before it was switched from tonight as all UEFA Cup and UEFA Champions' League games were postponed as a mark of respect for the thousands of people dead in the USA terrorist attacks.

Coverage will start on BBC1 at 8pm with the match kicking-off at 8.05pm.

All Town fans who have seats for the original date will be able to use them next week. Any supporters who are unable to make the rearranged game will receive a full refund instead.

Ipswich Town Football Club said complete tickets will need to be returned, either in person or posted, to the club's ticket office in Constantine Road, Ipswich ahead of the game in order to get the refund.

Ipswich Town chairman David Sheepshanks said yesterday: "Apart from some inconvenience to supporters who may have been able to attend this week and not next week, I don't expect any major change to the finances associated with the game.

"We have every sympathy with those fans who will now not be able to attend but hope they understand the situation."

The return leg of the tie in Moscow is still scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 27.
