AGE is certainly no barrier as David Booth proved on Fynn Valley Golf Club's sixth annual tour.
The 63-year-old David, who plays off a 16 handicap, won the overall trophy that was played for by the party of 32 made up of Fynn Valley members and a few guests.
This year's venue was the Bristol area and the Suffolk tourists made their headquarters at Tracey Park, a golf complex just outside the west country city.
Tony Tyrrell, the owner of Fynn Valley, who made the trip, said: "Tracey Park is a magnificent new complex with two 18 hole courses."
There were five consecutive days of golf at Tracey Park – both courses on separate days – Bowood, Long Ashton and the delightful Castle Coombe, but David, the oldest member of the party, more than lasted the pace.
