DEAN Bowditch struck just 14 seconds into extra time to keep Ipswich in the Carling Cup.
The teenage substitute, who came on midway through the second half, lifted a sluggish Town and deserved to be the matchwinner.
But it was hard on battling Kidderminster. The Third Division side were punished for a defensive howler on a night when the rest of their defending was outstanding.
Bowditch might have settled the tie before 90 minutes. He went close with his first touch, then had a sizzling volley brilliantly saved one-handed by keeper Brock on 88 minutes.
Darren Bent had countless chances for Town throughout the game. He came closest to snatching it six minutes from time when he turned sharply to hit a cracking shot against the bar.
