Four come up trumps with aces

GOLF: THERE have been three holes-in-one at St Clement's recently. Paul Ashwell had his second ace on the course when he holed his tee shot at the 157 yards par three ninth hole, witnessed by his partner Brian Jay and guests S Berry and G Webber.

Paul Ashwell had his second ace on the course when he holed his tee shot at the 157 yards par three ninth hole, witnessed by his partner Brian Jay and guests S Berry and G Webber.

Peter Holden achieved the same feat at the 153 yards 13th hole, witnessed by Kevin Mullett and Albert Dann holed his tee shot at the 161-yard tenth hole, witnessed by his playing partner M J Watkins.

At Rushmere, Joe Duncan achieved his first-ever hole-in-one on the par three 181 yards sixth hole using a five wood. His playing partners were Kevin Lockwood and Vic Phillips.

At Fynn Valley last weekend, Nick Noy scored his first ace on the club's 150-yard eighth hole. His feat was witnessed by playing partners Ian Ginn, Bob Moss and Roger Crouch
