GAVIN Williams' worst fears were confirmed when he was ruled out of action for between three and four months.
The Ipswich Town and Wales midfielder suffered medial ligament damage to an ankle in the latter stages of the win over Panathinaikos last Sunday.
An MRI scan on Wednesday morning showed the extent of the injury and a specialist has told the club he will be out of action for around 16 weeks.
