ORWELL Park School pupils swam in the name of their house recently at their annual Middle School Swimming Gala.
As these dramatic pictures show, there was plenty of enthusiasm on show amongst the youngsters between forms one and four.
While the day is competitive, it is also designed to help improve youngster's swimming abilities, with the participants all having very different levels of experience in the pool.
Orwell Park's Head of Sport Caroline Cooper said: “The swimming gala is quite a fun event for us. We've got our main sports day coming up which is a bit more competitive, but with the swimming we encourage absolutely everyone to take part.”
After the parents' cheers and competitors' splashes had died down the results were counted up and, for the record, Blue Boars House were crowned the 2008 champions.
