Eight schools took part in a sportshall athletics event at Westbourne Academy recently.
Around 240 children took part in a number of track and field events with each school required to bring a minimum of nine boys and girls and a maximum of 15 of each.
Gorseland School won the event with 328 points, with Britannia in second. Both teams will go on to the Suffolk School Games Sportshall finals in Bury St Edmunds, on January 29, where they will represent Ipswich. Britannia are the defending champions.
St Matthews and Sproughton were entering for the first time and went away with learning points, with the latter already planning on how they can improve next year.
