Ipswich Basketball Club are celebrating a national finals double after two victories at Copleston School, Ipswich yesterday.
The men’s team are pictured above beating Worcester Wolves 100-82 to reach the Patrons Cup final, in London, on February 22, while the Ipswich under-16s are through to the under-16 Sureshot National Cup final after a 78-70 win over Solent, that final is a week earlier.
In the club’s first ever sponsored Match day, local company ‘Anything Print’ proudly gave Aaaron Moseley an MVP award for his stellar performance in setting a club record by hitting 9 3-pointers in a game, and leading his team to their first ever National final.
Playing like this, and with this support, it would be foolish to write off Ipswich’s chances of winning some silverware this season.
