SINCE the despair of the Championship play-off defeat by West Ham last May, Neil Diamond has captivated Portman Road and REM has had fans rocking on the pitch.
On Saturday it was 17-year-old Owen Garvan's turn to take centre stage.
He came into the Ipswich Town side for his first-team debut, and played a significant part as the Blues kicked off their season with a satisfying victory over the Bluebirds from Cardiff.
