ENGLAND at last produced the type of performance so many of their fans have been craving for with a commanding 3-0 victory over Israel on Saturday.
But how good was it?
Certainly it was great to see players picked on form and not “names”, with Heskey, Barry and Wright-Phillips showing their worth with confident displays.
And what about Michael Owen? He is likely to finish his career as England's best-ever goalscorer, do you appreciate who you are currently watching?
Russia on Wednesday night will be a different task altogether for England however. But if McClaren keeps faith with the players who did him so proud on Saturday and, under the Wembley floodlights, it should be quite an occasion.
What are your thoughts on it all?
Would you bring back Frank Lampard when he is fit?
Would you bring back Beckham
