Greyhounds in South Africa

A 30-strong party of local cricketers and supporters are currently in South Africa on a three-week tour.

Ipswich Greyhounds will play four matches including a day-night game at Mossel Bay on the famous Garden Route.

A 30-strong party of local cricketers and supporters are currently in South Africa on a three-week tour.

Ipswich Greyhounds will play four matches including a day-night game at Mossel Bay on the famous Garden Route.

This is the fifth oversees tour that they Greyhounds have been on in the past 15 years, and most of the party are Ipswich-based.

'Colonel' Paul Crane is leading the party that will play matches in Cape Town, Mossel Bay, Port Elizabeth and Durban and will finish the three-week cricket tour and holiday with a visit to the Kruger National Park outside Johannesburg.

The Greyhounds have now played on most continents in the world, and their previous trips have been to Kenya, Australia, Sri Lanka and South America.
