GRUNDISBURGH improved during the second half to gain maximum points from an otherwise uninspiring game.

The home side showing many changed from their great days and went ahead on 29 minutes. New signing Paul Clennell, after two earlier good attempts scored with a text book header to convert a Claxton cross.

It didn't take long for St Margarets to get on terms, scoring through Gibbons on 34 minutes.

It was a good effort, the winger clipping the ball over the stranded Brightey from the corner of the penalty box. Earlier Ford had struck the Grundisburgh woodwork with a great header.

Leiston withstood pressure before half time that saw Fitch then Claxton very close for the home side.

On the hours a decisive run by McAlister was rounded off by an explosive right footer from 20 yards, in off the crossbar.

Four minutes later Claxton and Clarke carved a way through the visiting defence to drive home the clinching goal from 10 yards.
