Brantham 1 Stanton 5

STANTON pushed forward from the first whistle, and this paid off after only two minutes when the Brantham keeper misjudged the ball and it struck a defender on its way into the net.

Brantham were unlucky when a header from Gorham skimmed the bar. Stanton dominated the mid-field and were pushing men forward at every given chance and Hubbard should have increased their lead when he beat three defenders and then failed to make it count.

Gorham's first time header was cleared off the line with the keeper beaten.

In the 20th minute Stanton increased their lead when Spilling started and finished a move with a shot into the roof of the net. Brantham had as many chances but were unable to score.

Stanton made it 3-0 when Turner did all the work and squared the ball for Hubbard to score an easy goal. Three minutes later Brantham pulled a goal back when a through ball from Frost picked out Gorham and he beat a defender and shot home.

Stanton were having the better of the play still and they went further ahead after 70 minutes when poor marking saw the ball run free to Hubbard who went on to shoot past the stranded keeper.

Two minutes later Hubbard claimed his hat-trick and Stanton's fifth goal when Lombardo ran through a static defence and put the ball through for an easy tap-in.
