Whitton were defeated by their West Suffolk opponents in a game that proved frustrating at times for both sides.

Whitton opened the scoring on 18 minutes, a free-kick from Eton headed in off the near post by Gayfer.

Haverhill equalised six minutes later, a cross by Hunt knocked back in by Jenkin and Gibbs then putting into his own net under pressure from Brandt.

The away side took the lead in the 34th minute, a ball through from Cowling finding Jenkin, who finished well into the far bottom corner.

The third goal of the game came 12 minutes into the second half, when a bad touch from Whitton goalkeeper Dunnett let in Cogger, who rounded him and fired the ball into the empty net.
