BRAMFORD ring star Spartacus today vowed to bring professional boxing back to Ipswich.
The British Masters champion, unbeaten in his 13 fights, dreams of one day landing a major title at the Ipswich Corn Exchange.
Back in the late 1990s, David Starie, the now retired super-middleweight from Elmswell, regularly thrilled a packed Ipswich arena with his fights.
Spartacus, real name Steve Smith, watched in awe from ringside and told himself that one day he would land a major crown in front of a Suffolk audience.
Tonight he takes another step in trying to make that dream reality when he takes on Zimbabwe's Hastings Rasani at London's Alexandra Palace.
