WITH Ipswich East Suffolk a little shaky during the first half and taking time to settle, Maidstone took advantage to score first.

IES found their feet and began to play a better game and the opening few minutes of the second half saw a renewed grittier side.

They allowed the ball to do more of the work, with Annie Taylor getting through some good work in midfield and feeding Fran Poppleton and Abigail Adams.

Maidstone went further ahead but IES pulled one back through a well-worked short corner routine with Taylor calmly putting the ball past the keeper.

The home side restored their two-goal advantage but IES again hit back when Sue Stenson deflected home a shot from Taylor.

IES went looking for the equaliser, but minutes from time Maidstone thumped home their fourth to claim all three points in Division Two South of the Printwize East League.
