AFTER a lengthy break, Ipswich East Suffolk ladies return to action in Division Two South of the Printwize East League tomorrow.

Although the team will be without Fran Poppleton at home to near neighbours Colchester, IES will work on alternative routines in their bid to score.

The defence will be ready to block any advance from Colchester and pass the ball with determination to the midfield and on to the waiting forwards.

Last week, IES beat Bury in a friendly and will want to continue that sort of form to avenge they suffered at the Essex side's hands earlier in the season.

Although the IES second team will be without Mel Maguire, Megan Adams will follow in her mother Avril's footsteps when she keeps goal for the seconds in their Suffolk League Premier Division fixture at Haverhill.

Avril is the first team keeper, while Megan's older sister, Abigail, plays in the same side as her mum.

The third team travel to Stour Valley in Division One with a strong team and will expect to come away with all three points.

n IPSWICH Ladies need three wins to qualify for the indoor league play-offs after this weekend's second round of matches.

Having won two and lost two last week, the Tuddenham Road side take on Clifton and Chelmsford at The Edge, Haselmere, tomorrow and should account for both Canterbury and Sutton Coldfield the following day.

With six points already under their belts, a total of 15 would certainly see them into the play-offs, but they would need to win at least one of tomorrow's two games to put them in with a chance.
