The second week in June saw three intrepid Wakefields of Felixstowe Sea Anglers take a trip Clarach Bay in Wales for the annual fishing competition held there.
John, Kati and Ben spent a week of pleasure and competition fishing with John catching several good dogfish and the smallest turbot ever.
In fact he nearly won the fish of the week, not for the biggest, but the smallest! Ben caught a dogfish and a huge spider crab while Katie landed a tope.
John ended sixth in his section and Kati was part of the winning fours competition. Having enjoyed the hospitality of Clarach Bay myself the previous year I can confirm that anyone going there as part of this well-organised week will enjoy themselves.
