IPSWICH Town's disabled side produced a notable performance at Chelmondiston.

It will probably be a long time before any Ipswich football side beats Chelsea, but that is what Town's disabled side managed when they entertained Chelsea's disabled team.

The Blues from London were unbeaten in almost two seasons, but that didn't faze Ipswich, who ran out 7-4 victors in an entertaining clash on the Shotley peninsular.

Ex-Fulham star Shaun Gore is the community development manager at Chelsea and he is helped by Jim McGrath at the London club.

Chelsea took a 2-1 lead but Ipswich, under the management of Steve Green, produced a spirited fightback and man-of-the-match Cossens netted a hat-trick, with Probert and Cooper getting two each.

Chelsea were left disappointed by the result, but Ipswich were worthy winners, and the result takes them to the top of the London and South East Ability Counts League.
