Ipswich moved to the fourth round of the National Colts Cup, winning 31-22 at Braintree at the weekend.
Chandler Bonne scored a hat-trick of tries, while Alex Fane and Corey Button also got on the scoresheet for the Suffolk side, who progress to the last 32.
Ipswich came from behind no fewer that three times as Braintree looked to assert their authority on the gane in the first half.
However, the Suffolk side led at the break, the first successful conversion of the game, scored by Conor O’Donoghue the difference, as Ipswich took a 17-15 lead into the second period.
The visitors put in an improved performance in the second half, as Braintree, who missed two penalties in the first half, were punished.
Bonne scored two further tries in the second half, before Braintree pulled a converted try back.
