IPSWICH Town fans are backing the Blues for a successful 2008/09 Coca-Cola Championship campaign.

Against the national trend, season tickets sales at Portman Road are up on last season.

Manager Jim Magilton's summer signings have received the approval of Town supporters - and there has been another surge in interest following the signing of goalkeeper Richard Wright.

Ipswich went into their first match of last season with season ticket sales of 13,946.

The current figure for next season is 14,930 - a figure that is set to increase considerably by the time the first ball is kicked in earnest against Preston on August 9.
