DRAW specialists Ipswich Town again hit a brick wall as they failed to see off basement club Peterborough United last night.

Roy Keane's men are now unbeaten in nine games, but once again their lack of a killer touch cost them dear.

Town played well in the first half and will feel that they should have been at least a goal up at the interval, not least when Stern John's headed goal was disallowed for a foul.

Home supporters were celebrating when John leaned forwards to head home Jon Walters' cross, only for referee Andy Hall to wipe out the goal for a foul by Town's front-man on his marker Scott Griffiths.

Town continued to pepper the target, especially from Grant Leadbitter's long-range shooting, and they also had appeals for a penalty turned down when Damien Delaney's shot appeared to brush a hand.

However, they rather lost their way in the second period, and it was Posh who nearly stole all three points in stoppage time. Aaron Mclean's shot rolled agonisingly wide of the far post with Delaney in the right place to make sure it didn't sneak in.

Town have now drawn 12 of their 20 games, but crucially, they have still only won twice all season.

These remain worrying times at Portman Road.
