Your in-depth team news ahead of Ipswich Town's trip to Brighton on Tuesday evening
Ipswich Town centre-halves Steven Taylor and Christophe Berra are both out of the game, having picked up injuries in the 1-0 victory at Aston Villa.
Taylor picked up a hamstring injury early in the game and is set for a month out on the sidelines, while Berra suffered a concussion and will sit out tonight, with a view to being back for Saturday’s home game with Leeds United.
As a result, Mick McCarthy could choose to field the back-three and wing-backs that ended the game at the weekend, meaning Jordan Spence, Jonas Knudsen and Luke Chambers playing in central defensive roles, and Myles Kenlock and Josh Emmanuel being utilised as wing-backs
Cole Skuse will miss the game at the Amex, having also sat out Saturday’s 1-0 won at Villa with an Achilles problem. He, like Berra, could be back in contention for the visit of Leeds.
Long-term injury victims, Luke Hyam (knee) and Tommy Smith (back), were both due to step up their comebacks for the Under-23s last night, in their game at West Brom in the Premier League Cup.
Recent signing from Macclesfield, Danny Rowe, is nursing a slight groin injury and will not be involved tonight, while Reading striker Dominic Samuel – on-loan at Town until the end of the season – limped out of training on Friday with a broken toe and will be out for six weeks or so.
Adam Webster (ankle), Giles Coke (knee) and Jonny Williams (shoulder) remain out.
The Seagulls will be without full-back Gaeten Bong, who is recovering from a knee injury.
Former Ipswich loanee, Liam Rosenior, was expected to step up his comeback from a spell on the sidelines, in an under-23s game against Leicester, last night.
