Ipswich Town duo Daryl Murphy and Paul Green have been selected by Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill for their country’s upcoming friendly against Serbia, in Dublin, on March 5.
As we exclusively revealed on Monday, nine-cap Murphy and Green, who has 20 caps, were watched by O’Neill at Portman Road in last Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Blackpool at Portman Road.
Murphy last played for his country in 2008 and has yet to get off the mark for his country. He has scored eight goals for Town this season.
Green, made his full debut for the Blues last weekend, having signed on loan from Leeds, and has won 20 caps.
