Ipswich Town have turned their attention to completing a deal for striker Kayden Jackson following the arrivals of Jon Nolan and Toto Nsiala from Shrewsbury.

The Blues have been tracking the Accrington Stanley man for much of the summer, now having a bid accepted understood to be worth an initial £1.6m with add ons potentially taking it closer to £2million.

Has has moved to Suffolk today to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical, with neither expected to be an issue, after which he is expected to sign a three-year deal with an option for a fourth.

He could be an Ipswich Town player as soon as this evening.

Queens Park Rangers and Peterborough are also said to have had offers accepted for the 24-year-old frontman, who scored 16 goals last season as Stanley won the League Two title.

But, as previously reported, he has made it clear Ipswich is his preferred destination due to his desire to work with new Blues boss Paul Hurst, who had the striker briefly during his time at Grimsby.

As well as a move for Jackson, the Blues are also pursuing a move for Rangers forward Josh Windass.

Reports in Scotland last night suggested Ipswich have lodged an offer in the region of £1.2m, which we can confirm to be correct.

However, there has yet to be a response from Rangers, with the Scottish giants said to be keen on a number of top-up clauses.

The bid is thought to have been made last night, signalling the Blues’ desire to bring both Windass and Jackson last night.

Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard is said to be keen to hang onto the forward, who played wide left on Sunday at Aberdeen, but there is a feeling the player is keen to test himself at Championship level.
