IPSWICH Town could sign Ibrahima Faye, a Sengalese-born defender, during the next few days after an impressive display for the Reserves in midweek.

Faye played the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Norwich City's second string. He started the game at left-back but ended it on the left side of midfield.

Manager Roy Keane did not mention names, but did admit that one of the three triallists in action against the Canaries might be coming to the club.

When asked whether it was the left-back, Keane said: "It might be.

"He is a free agent, so maybe something might happen over the next few days. He did well against Norwich and is a big strong boy."

In addition to Ibrahima Faye, namesake Pape Faye and Ragnar Leosson, both Icelandic under-19 internationals, also enjoyed a trial for Town Reserves on Wednesday.
