PREMIER League defender Paul McShane has hit back at Roy Keane's jibes over the Republic of Ireland's controversial World Cup exit, saying “I don't know what goes on between his ears”.
The 23-year-old Hull City defender was close to play as Thierry Henry handled the ball before crossing for William Gallas to end the Irish dream in their World Cup playoff in Paris three weeks ago.
And Town boss Keane, who told all the Irish players to 'get over it' after the match, criticised the defenders for failing to clear the ball.
But McShane said today: “It is just surreal. I'm probably the most famous person in the world at the moment.
“I played under Roy Keane for a couple of years so I know exactly what he's like. It doesn't bother me.
“I don't know what goes on between his ears, so I've nothing to say about that.''
