Quotes: Plymouth v Ipswich Town
Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane praised his goal scorer John Stead for his equalising goal in today's 1-1 draw at Plymouth.
Stead came off the bench to salvage a point for Town, although they have now gone 14 games without a victory.
Keane said; “Full marks to John Stead. Every striker has to gamble, and he gambled with a back pass.
He still has a lot to do, but he kept his cool and it was a good finish. He has not been involved recently, but he scored a couple of goals in the reserves match midweek so I guarantee that he will tell you that he has had a very good week.
The game was not pretty. I thought it was too stop-start, and the ball kept taking a long time to come back from the stands.
It is very frustrating, but we will take the point and move on” added Keane.
