ROY Keane today insisted that Ipswich Town are 'nearly there'.

The Blues boss leads his side into Championship action against Watford at Portman Road tomorrow night still looking for an elusive league victory.

They are the only club in the top five divisions without a win to their name, and despite an improvement it was still another frustrating weekend with a 1-1 home draw against Swansea City.

“We are nearly there,” said Keane. “It will please everybody when those three points finally arrive.

“We should have gone on and won against Swansea after doing well to hit back from conceding the first goal.

“This added more frustration to our season and we need to add a little more quality in front of goal - particularly in the position we are in the league.

“But the signs are there and we had the better chances, but failed to take them.”

Keane confirmed that Carlos Edwards, who was left out against the Swans after playing last midweek for Trinidad and Tobago, will be ready for a return tomorrow with Asmir Begovic remaining in goal.

“He didn't have a lot to do and hopefully that will continue tomorrow night,” added Keane.

“We had a look at Asmir in training for two days and decided to give him a start on Saturday. He will be better for the game.”

Watford are Ipswich's bogey side and they will be full of confidence after coming back from the north east with three points after a 1-0 weekend win at Middlesbrough.
