Manager Jim Magilton - the boss who blames players' lack of hunger whilst not recalling it was he who assembled them in the first place - could, finally, give us a mini-beacon of triumph at the end of this dismal season.
If I was Jim, as a season-long inhabitant of the Championship's Last Chance Saloon, I would concentrate on a bout of spring-time mini glory by beating the Budgies, rather than thinking, ultra-optimistically and dreamily, of season 2009/10.
