GOAL hero Pablo Counago's recent absence from the Ipswich starting line-up has nothing to do with cash, boss Joe Royle insisted today.
Fans' favourite Counago, the biggest earner on the Portman Road payroll and rumoured to be on £20,000 a week, made a vital contribution to yesterday's 2-0 home win over Millwall.
He created the opening goal for Darren Bent to break the deadlock six minutes from the end, then claimed his first goal in eight months to clinch a victory that sent Town soaring to the top of the table.
