JEWSON DIVISION ONE

Stanway Rovers 3 Leiston 1

THE game was played at a frantic pace as the ball switched from end to end with neither keeper troubled. Stanway were dealt a blow in the 15th minute when Springett was injured. He was replaced by Schultz.

The deadlock was broken in the 32nd minute when Abrehart's cross was steered home at the far post by Driver.

Driver struck again in the 40th minute, heading home Grice's cross following good work by Abrehart. With two minutes of the half remaining Driver pounced on the keeper's poor clearance to complete his hat-trick.

Fryer pulled a goal back for Leiston within two minutes of the restart when he beat Munson with a looping header, but Stanway held firm for their second win of the season.
