FABIAN Wilnis's career at Ipswich has been full of ups and downs.
But his proudest moment came when boss Joe Royle asked him to wear the captain's armband in the home FA Cup third round game against Derby County a fortnight ago.
"When Jim Magilton came on as a substitute I kept the armband," said Wilnis. "Jim would have had to chop my arm off to get it!
"To lead out a side representing a club like Ipswich Town is something special and I made the most of that day."
Dutch full back Wilnis, who will be 34 next August, is now on a high having missed just two starts this season.
