AFTER their success on Bank Holiday Monday, Ipswich Evening Star Witches will be looking to move further up the Sky Sports Elite League table tonight.

Visitors Wolverhampton have already suffered a knock-out cup defeat at Foxhall and two defeats at Monmore Green to Lakeside and Coventry.

But Witches promoter John Louis is taking nothing for granted, telling his riders; “I want to know how much you want it?”

He added: “They have proved on so many occasions this season what an excellent side they are. And then they don't all perform at places like Peterborough and Lakeside and we lose.

“On Monday the boys were all hugely committed. They proved they can do it, the fans all saw it. So more of the same is what I will be expecting.”

A win tonight and then against Eastbourne next Thursday will see the Evening Star Witches moving mid-table and closer to the play-off positions.

However on Monday night, many fans were left worried by the antics of Robert Miskowiak who, after being knocked-off by team-mate Piotr Swiderski, appeared to have little or no interest in his stricken team-mate.

Indeed he left the accident scene flailing his arms at his partner.

But Louis scotched any rumours there is a problem.

“Riders get upset at getting knocked off,” Louis added.

“You are hyped up, on edge. That was how Robert was no doubt feeling. Then he gets knocked off. But by the end of the meeting they are talking and

joking.”

Wolves' David Howe and Christian Hefenbrock were involved in a high-speed crash at the Monmore Green track on Monday and Howe is set to make a late decision on his fitness for tonight.

Wolves team manager Peter Adams said: “It will be tough, especially with two riders carrying knocks.

We have already been to Ipswich this season and need to learn from that experience. And we need to pick up away wins after our two home defeats.”

Tonight there is £1 off programmes, which will cost £1 each.
