IPSWICH are ready to accept a reduced fee of just £1million for skipper Matt Holland.
That represents a mere ten per cent of the valuation placed on the player by the club less than a year ago!
Holland's displays for the Republic of Ireland in last summer's World Cup finals saw his value rocket to a staggering £10 million.
That was the price tag slapped on the midfielder by then manager George Burley, who swooped to sign him from Bournemouth in an £800,000 deal in August 1997.
Now, because of a clause guaranteeing the Cherries 25 per cent of any profit on the player, Town will end up pocketing little more than they paid for him.
